Who is Mama Cash?
Founded in 1983 by five women in Amsterdam—Marjan Sax, Dorelies Kraakman, Patti Slegers, Tania Leon, and Lida van den Broek.
Their mission is to mobilize resources and support activists working for gender justice, bodily autonomy, and human rights.
They have funded projects in Ecuador such as Las Comadres.
Over 40 years, Mama Cash has awarded over €92 million to feminist activists and organizations worldwide.
Because contacting, communicating and funding grassroots efforts can endanger women on the ground, our goal is to fund local activists via Mama Cash.
